A little care goes a long way.

Start with the care instructions supplied for your actual products. These general notes help you prepare the questions to ask at handover.

Find your surface

Warm-white quartz

Use a trivet for hot pans and a chopping board for prep. Wipe spills promptly with mild detergent.

Honed limestone

Natural stone needs a suitable sealing plan. Avoid acidic cleaners and confirm care with the selected fabricator.

Stone-look laminate

Keep joints dry, wipe with a soft damp cloth and protect from direct heat.

Painted and slab cabinet fronts

Use a soft cloth, mild detergent and water, then dry the surface. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents. Ask your supplier about the specific coating before using specialist products.

Natural oak and veneer

Wipe along the grain, keep standing water away from edges and use the finish manufacturer’s recommended cleaner. Natural grain and colour variation are part of the material.
