Start with the room.

Approximate measurements are enough for a first brief. Keep everything in metres.

Use the longest wall-to-wall dimensions. The planner accepts 1.8–15m. Record openings and fixed services in your notes.

For an L-shape, measure the two cabinet runs and exclude the shared corner once. An island requires a room at least 4.0 × 3.6m in this demonstration.

Add the lengths of the cabinet runs. For this simple allowance, worktops use the same run. The island is a separate addition.
