A little of what to expect

Make a breakfast bowl or a small serving dish using pinch and slab techniques. Sam demonstrates the joins and shaping, then helps you turn a simple idea into something that feels like yours. No wheel and no previous experience needed.

  1. Feel the clay and try a pinch-pot warm-up
  2. Build a useful bowl or small serving dish
  3. Refine the edges and choose a studio glaze

Ready when you arrive.

  • Stoneware clay and shared hand tools
  • Two small pieces with a studio glaze finish
  • Collection in 4–6 weeks

Tea, water and an apron are available. Wear closed shoes and clothes you do not mind getting clay on.

From clay to keepsake.

Leave up to two small pieces with us for drying, firing and a studio glaze finish. Collection is usually 4–6 weeks after class. Your tutor will explain the collection process before you leave.
